Our story is rooted in a lifelong passion for swimming and a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of children.

Our founder’s journey began at the age of 16 with teaching swim lessons and lifeguarding. This early start sparked a lifelong dedication to aquatic education and safety. With over 13 years of experience as a competitive swimmer, they gained a profound understanding of the sport and its benefits.

Pursuing a double bachelor's degree in Special Education with an endorsement in Autism further fueled this commitment. This educational background, combined with hands-on experience, equips us to offer specialized swim instruction tailored to children with autism and special needs.

A personal chapter of our founder’s story includes a battle with cancer, having been a survivor since the age of 22. This experience has deepened their empathy and understanding for those facing challenges. It also inspired a strong desire to support and empower children with special needs.

The journey to founding Little Penguin Swim School was further motivated by the desire to honor a close family member—our founder’s cousin, who has autism. Witnessing the unique needs and strengths of their cousin ignited a passion to dedicate their career to helping children with special needs flourish in the water.
